The Five TFX-1 Airflow is one of the most ridiculously over-engineered summer gloves we have ever come across. Read Five's own description of the glove, and you'll just get confused, so we are going to try to and break it down, and communicate in 'plain speak' what the TFX-1 is all about.

• Upper construction that combines nylon and 3D mesh fabric for ventilation
• Supple full-grain goatskin palm (perforated for ventilation)
• Semi-external seam construction of the fingers
• Nylon fourchettes / mesh underside of fourchettes
• Thumb-index finger interface in honeycomb structure
• 3D mesh fabric for optimum ventilation
• Breathable Coolmax® lining to keep you cool and dry
• 5 mm thick foam palm reinforcement under Superfabric®
• Ventilated AirGO PROTECH Metacarpal knuckle protection with air channel
• Wide SuperFabric® protective reinforcement covering the thenar and hypothenar
• 3 mm foam protection reinforcements on ring and little fingers and TPU protection with air opening on index and middle fingers
• 3 mm foam forearm protection under fabric
• V-shaped double elastic strap closure system and Velcro closure with pull tab
• Anti-twist accordion strap between ring and little fingers to limit the risk of fingers being pulled apart in a fall (a FIVE innovation)
• Reflective logos on the top VibraLess? pads (exclusive FIVE technology) included at strategic points (on palm and thumb) to minimize vibrations from the handlebars
• Touch screen system on index finger and thumb
• Clear Vision Pad on the left hand for wiping the helmet visor or goggles
• Laser-printed patterns on the palm side of the index and middle fingers and thumb
• Certified according to EN 13594 KP1
